Do I have to go to the insurance companies “drive-in” claims office?
No. Chances are they’re going to write a low-ball estimate that doesn’t reflect the true cost of repairing your car to pre-accident condition. Just tell the insurance company you’re leaving your vehicle with Falcon and to send their appraiser to our shop. If you have the claim number and don’t feel like dealing with the insurance company anymore we will do this for you.
What if my car is a total loss?
If the damage to your car is greater than your car’s determined value, Falcon can assist you in negotiating with your insurance company to reach an acceptable settlement.
Do I have to have used parts on my vehicle?
Falcon writes estimates using OEM parts (Original Equipment Manufacturer). However, some insurance companies will only pay for used or aftermarket parts. Review your policy or discuss this with your insurance company. When used or aftermarket parts are used by Falcon they are subject to our inspection for quality and fit.
What are betterment charges?
Parts wear out and need replacement with time and use. Tires, batteries, upholstery and suspension parts are commonly subject to betterment charges when they are replaced during the repair process. These betterment charges are determined by the insurance company and are pro-rated based on the year, condition and mileage of your vehicle.
Can you save me my deductible?
An honest repair shop will say no. However, there’s a legitimate way to reduce your cost. Suppose you have a small scratch on your rim as a result of the collision. Suppose further that it would cost $300 to replace it. You can talk to the insurance company about an “appearance allowance”. An appearance allowance is a negotiated compensation for NOT replacing your rim and agreeing to compensate you some where between $0-$300. The agreed upon price is a matter for you and your insurance company to negotiate.
Can I get a rental vehicle?
If you need a rental vehicle, we can help you make the necessary arrangements. Insurance companies only pay for a rental vehicle if you have that option on your policy or if you are a claimant against another person’s insurance company. Check your policy and/or call the paying insurance company to find out what your specific limitations are. Some items needed when renting a car are:
What forms of payment do you accept?

When can I wash my car?
You can wash it as normal. Do not wax or polish the vehicle for two months.
